Objective – A prominent technology company wanted to develop a recognition program for their employees for “Years of Service” in order to reduce turnover and maintain a high level of morale.
Strategy Execution – Creating an awards program entails a lot of details. Not the least is making sure it is consistent from employee to employee or in this company’s case, location to location! Each award needed to be dropped shipped and the presentation needed to be standardized, so each awardee received the same “celebration” ceremony with the delivery of the award.
Working with the company, Award Craft designed a package that included the plaque, a certificate for the “years of service” award designed like the company stock, balloons, confetti and a banner. The package is first delivered to the recipient’s supervisor who opens it, reads the directions and goes online to see how the award should be presented to the recipient.
Results – The technology company reduced turnover by 7% in the following year, and 9% in the year after. This program has become an ongoing recognition program for over 8 years, and they have implemented other programs to recognize employees due to the success of this program.
